My First Ride on Shilo
The first time I got to ride my horse was on March 27, 2001. In the rain no less. But I got to ride him and it was fun. And I am so glad that we did not listen those who only saw the negative of Shilo's situation.....
He may never be a world champion or professional show horse....
but at least he is still here and can be ridden.
This is Shilo's "hurt" side.

Thanks mom for all that you have done and all that you are currently doing for me, Scott and Shilo. I love both you and Joe! Mom you have a great Heart and are a wonderful person. Thank you for taking care of Shilo for me when I had trouble finding someone that could.

Mostly, I have learned through this
experience that there are many many other horses that have
fractured the hip/pelvic area and they are still going strong!
